This is my new handmade "Kaplan Series" kitchen table. The legs are 126 year old pine beams from an old house in New Orleans. I put a slight taper on them for aesthetics. The top is made from old cypress siding from an old house in Kaplan Louisiana. This project is somewhat of a departure from my normal style. I combined rough-sawn legs with a partially-smoothed, then distressed and polished top.
The top is hand rubbed with oil-based poly, then finished with paste wax to give it that old world look. If you’d prefer a larger table, or different materials, I can accommodate. This table could also be used as a writing desk. For a small fee, I can add a keyboard drawer . I can also price and create a matching printer stand/cabinet.
